The CV0204DVR is one of SVAT’s figure packed digital video recorders. This complete system comes with four outdoor CCD cameras and can show all four (quad view) at the same time. Customize the recording and set a 24-hour recording schedule based on your preferences. And since each camera is equipped with nighttime vision, you can view and record in total darkness! I thought this would be a wonderful system until my home was burglarized and they deleted the recordings off my system. It was my fault that i did not change the default password but the system is so sluggish and hard to use that it’s hard to do so. There is no backup of your recordings and the cameras are easily pulled off the wall by criminals. Look for a surpass system if you’re hoping for safety and wellbeing after a robbery!

This system was very simple to setup and start working for you. Cameras could be focused a bit sharper but a splendid buy for the money. When I was shopping around I couldn’t find anything near this for less than $1200.00 so it is a splendid deal. I am just now in the process of getting the web access figure set up which shouldn’t be too huge of a deal seeing the way the system was place together.

I am just installing this system. The basic function is sweet simple to set up. I have one camera installed and it works sweet well in bright set alight, but is a small disappointing in the dark.
The mount for the cameras is a certain drawback to this system. I had to mess around with the mount on the first camera for it to work. Even so, I am not sure the camera will hold position for any length of time. The mount is poorly engineered and machined. I was also disappointed to find no instructions regarding camera mounting. I have no thought of how secure this camera will be in adverse weather. I had considered casing the point where the wire enters the camera with a silicone seal, since it does not look water-resistant. At this point, I have just mounted it under my soffitt, hoping it will not be subject to driving rain.
Once I get all the cameras installed,I will work on getting the system hooked up to the internet. At that time, I plot to modify my review.

I bought this item thought it was excellent value for money. When I got it and hooked it up, I realized one camera was not working. Before I had time to send that one camera back, the hard drive failed. I sent it back at my expense of course, when I got the replacement the network card wasn’t working. I am really fed up with this POS system and would much rather my money back and place a small more towards something with privileged feature standards. This is clearly an item cheaply sourced from China and rebranded with unquestionably no hint of durability. If you’re still thought of purchasing this, then excellent luck.
PS. Giving this one star feels like I am over rating it.

I $ one SVAT web-Ready System last year.I had two issues #1 was a cam still under warrantee had a default.It was replaced via white glove cond,with no issues at all with ease. # 2 If you wanted a surpass nighttime view more then 20 ft,purchace the surpass cam (CV31)exceptional for 40 feet.In fact I had to dis-connect my auto dusk lights at nighttime as it was to bright,This also save on my elect,bill, With the above in mind last week I bought another one for a back up for my use.I am now exercising the thought of buying one for a Xmass gift for a friend.The system is a simple set up,if you have any issues,you can call the help team at SVAT and AMAZON.com are wonderful to work with keep up the excellent work to all.
